The museum, originally opened in 1927 as a commercial laundry, stands today as a reminder of Everglades City’s past as the first county seat and trades hub.

On Saturday and Sunday, the museum has a minimum donation entry fee of $5 per person. Residents of Everglades City, Chokoloskee, and Copeland receive free admission on all days, as well as children 17 and under.
